A loan of $900 helped to buy fertilizer and compost in order to maintain her coffee crops.

Rosa Nolberta's story

Rosa is a 25-year-old married woman. She is hardworking and enterprising, and she has many dreams and desires to better herself. She completed secondary school and is the mother of a 5-year-old daughter who lives with her.

It was her parents who taught her from a very early age how to cultivate coffee: planting, pruning, fertilization, harvesting, and how to mechanize the operations. She is infinitely grateful to her parents for having taught her how to farm, since this has been the means of sustenance for her family. At present, this activity allows her to cover her basic household expenses such as food, clothing, medicine and the like.

Currently she is seeking assistance so that she can buy fertilizer and compost in order to maintain her coffee crops. This will allow her to keep her crops healthy and free of weeds and any crop disease.

Her goal is to continue studying at the university level, since this will give her the technical knowledge she needs in order to expand her crops. Her dream is for her daughter to graduate from college so that she can create her own future and be able to make decisions that will help her grow as a person and have a better life.
