A loan of $250 helped to purchase fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds.

Fernando Antonio's story

Fernando is 52 years old, and lives in his own house with his wife and two children who are 15 and 18 years old. He has worked as a farmer for 23 years. His main crops are corn and beans. When his harvest is ready, he stores it in the barns in the sacks shown in the photograph to later sell with those who sell basic grains in the markets in the different departments of the country. The sales of his harvests allow him to meet his household expenses but not to cover the costs of planting, so he is requesting a loan to purchase seeds, fertilizer, manure, and other items to have a better harvest. This will allow him to earn more income to give his family what they need without limitations.
