Mirna is a friendly and kind woman. She’s from Lebanon and is 31 years old. She got married a short while ago and has three children. She lives with her husband, who serves in the Lebanese army. They are working really hard to provide the family with the needed income. And since she noticed that their income does not satisfy their needs, she decided to launch her clothing business.
She sells a wide variety of new and used clothes, from which she earns a fair amount of money daily. She also sells shoes. To better develop her work, she’s requesting a loan from Kiva's partner, Vitas s.a.l. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more merchandise for the coming season, such as pants, t-shirts, and many other items. This will allow her to offer a greater variety of products and, thus, will improve her income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
