A loan of $500 helped a member to purchase 'thioups' fabrics, damask, and wax cloth to sell.

Bollo Moy Dolée Group's story

The loan group Bollo Moy Dolée comprises five persons who live in the same district and who are gathered into a loan group to improve their revenue-generating businesses. In the group, the work is varied, since some of them work in commerce, other in food service, and still others in the clothing trades.

The president, Ms. Madjiguène, aged 44 , is a woman who has been selling fabrics, such as 'thioups', damasks, and Wax 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa) for five years now. In the photo, she is the one with her hand raised. She is managing her small family and their day-to-day expenses. She works to improve her family's living conditions, which is her greatest concern. For the future, Ms. Madjiguène would like to increase her income, so as to avoid the need for loans.

In this group: Madjiguène, Ndèye Anta, Marème, Fatou, Seynabou
