Alimkan's story

Alimkan is 50 years old and has five children. As a main source of income for her family, she raises livestock and grows produce, having launched this business 20 years ago with a starting capital of 18,000 KGS. Thanks to Alimkan’s hard work, her farm at present includes two cows with their young and 30 sheep; the monthly revenue from dairy products’ sales is approximately 15,000 KGS. In order to develop her business further, Alimkan applied to the “Bai Tushum & Partners” microfinance institution for a loan in the amount of 100,000 KGS to purchase a dairy cow and small livestock. Alimkan plans to invest the resulting revenues into a further expansion of her business.
