Asanbek's story

Asanbek is 49 years old and has four children. As a main source of income for his family, he raises livestock and grows produce, having launched this business by buying five sheep. Thanks to Asanbek’s hard work, his farm at present includes two cows; he grows potatoes and perennials on a land plot of 1.8 ha [about 4.5 acres]. Asanbek also works as building contractor.
In order to develop his business further, Asanbek applied to the”Bai Tushum & Partners” microfinance institution for a loan in the amount of 100,000 KGS intended for buying small livestock and mineral fertilizers. Asanbek plans to invest the resulting revenues into a further expansion of his business.
