Charles's story

Charles is applying for a loan to support his studies for a year at the MERU. This is his story:

My name is Charles, I am studying for a Bachelor 's Degree in Management and specialising in Nature Conservation and Sustainable Living at the Maharishi Institute. I'm 33 and origionaly from Ogies in Mpumalanga.

My mother divorced my father when I was 7 months old and she has brought me and my two siblings up alone. My sister (first born) is attending the University of Pretoria and I have a son who is attending Grade 1 at Sukumani Primary School. In my spare time I listen to the radio, read economics, spiritual and political books.

I plan to graduate by December 2014. After graduation, I would like to be a Nature Conservationist at Ezemvelo Nature Reserve and part time Stock Exchange Investor. I would like to get married, build a home for us, and give my child a better future than mine.
