Ruel's story

This is Ruel, 39, a resident of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. He is married to Maribless, his business partner, and they children. At this time, he is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses. Ruel oversees operations of their Jeepney transportation business. They have one unit of Jeep that carries up to 16 passengers to their destination within the community; He earns from the boundary (daily quota) their driver remits everyday. Their regular passengers and customers are from the local community. He earns a minimum of 1,000 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in boundary every day. To help him continue operations of his business, he is requesting a PHP 15,000 loan. He will be using the loan for the maintenance of his Jeepney unit. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business. Ruel dreams of expanding his business and hopes to give his children a good quality education. He meets up with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his life and business every week and draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God he studies. * All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
