Marina's story

Marina, 38 years old, lives with her husband and her two children in her own house. Her business is selling food. Every morning, she installs her table in front of her parents' house and offers all of her prepared food as well as soft drinks and waits on her customers in a very friendly way. The majority of them are her own neighbors and people who come based on recommendations.

She also says that she likes her business because she knows cooking. She decided to start due to the need to have her own income and a job, since there was not enough money and she had financial difficulties.

Now, seeing the good results, she wants to expand and open a store selling groceries in her parents' house. This is her third loan with Kiva. She is very happy to know that she has financial support, since this way she feels secure moving forward with her business.

With the amount requested of 1000 nuevos soles, she will buy ingredients and supplies to prepare food such as rice, vegetables, and meat, looking for comfortable prices for her purchases, and thus continuing with this business and increasing her income.
