A loan of $250 helped to buy raw material for making tortillas.

Hogla Sarai's story

Hogla is 35 years old. She lives with her husband and three children aged 12, 7 and 1.

She has a tortilla shop in her place of residence and she works Monday to Sunday. She has lots of customers because she treats them very well and keeps everything clean when she makes her tortillas.

With the profits she earns from her sales, she manages to cover the household expenses and other necessities that come up. Hogla is applying for a loan so she can buy corn as that is what she uses the most of to make tortillas. In this way she can keep her customers happy and earn better profits to give her family the best, with no limitations.
