A loan of $1,150 helped to buy products like rice, sugar and vegetables among others.

Raquel's story

Raquel is 41 years old. She has a home made of superior quality material and shares her home with her 4 youngest sons, whom are her primary motivation in life. She has a grocery stall where she works in selling diverse products and supplies, among which are products of high necessity like rice, sugar, grains, canned foods, and other products for preparing food.

She started her business with her own capital, which she accumulated with time. She was able to increase it with time until she could convert her business into something that could sustain her family economically. Her only purpose is to offer her children as high a quality of life as possible.

This will be her second loan awarded through Kiva and she is very grateful for the confidence offered, since she pledges to pay her quotas on time.

She hopes to count on 3,000 nuevos soles to acquire wholesale products like sacks of rice, sugar, vegetables, grains and other that are high demand to assure that her business is well stocked for a long period of time since this is the best way to attract clients, according to her.
