A loan of $575 helped to buy merchandise (shirts, sweaters, among others).

Luisa Mirella's story

Luisa is a young, 21-year old mother. Her little one is 3 years old; she loves him dearly and works very hard to get him ahead and to be able to offer him better opportunities than she had.

Due to scarce economic resources, Luisa was only able to study until the third year of secondary school, but she would have loved to study fashion design.

Day after day, Luisa works as a guard at a business. She works around 9 hours a day and also sells clothing, with which she gets extra income for her home. She believes she is getting ahead because she is honest and has a lot of faith in God.

Luis is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, because thanks to the assistance that they are providing her, she will be able to buy merchandise for Mother's Day, like sweaters, pants, and others. In this way, she will be able to improve her income and continue working in order to realize her greatest dream: "To have her own store for her business and to give her son a profession."
