One Word Organisation Group's story

In the photo are members of the “One Word Organisation” group. They are small-scale businesswomen based in Koidu, a city in eastern Sierra Leone. They are requesting a loan of 3,400,000 SLL for the entire group in order to expand their businesses.

The leader of this group is Aminata. Aminata is a native of Segbema. She is married to a trader and the couple has three children – two in primary school and one in secondary school. Aminata has been a businesswoman for three years now. She sells palm oil (the country’s most popular cooking oil). Aminata has requested this loan in order to buy gallons of palm oil to add to her current stock.
