Alejandrina's story

Alejandrina was born in the community of Cotañi and still lives there. The community of Cotañi is located in the District of Huancarani in Paucartambo Province, Department of Cusco, Peru.

Alejandrina is 33 years old, married, and has four children. She is an enterprising and hardworking woman who makes handicrafts. Alejandrina has a small workshop in her home where she makes knitted items such as sweaters, scarves, and other items. She also makes woven items with the use of a loom.

A group of neighbors invited her to participate in the “Intipakareq” Communal Bank because she is a responsible and cheerful person. Alejandrina is taking this opportunity to request a loan so that she can buy materials for her work, such as alpaca and sheep’s wool. She thanks everyone for this loan and promises to be punctual with her payments.
