PUCALLPA, Peru / Personal Housing Expenses

A loan of $350 helped to renovate her house.

Angelina's story

Angelina, 52, lives in the city of Pucalpa with her three children who she adores and who are her main motivation in life. She is a very kind, hard-working, enthusiastic person who dedicates all her efforts to providing for her family, since she is both mother and father to them. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources and the need to work from a very young age, Angelina was unable to get a nursing degree as she would have liked. In her free time she likes to cook a delicious chicken and rice to share with her family

On her own initiative and with much hard work and dedication, Angelina runs a small business selling beverages such as sodas, mineral water, etc. She works an average 12 hours a day and believes things are going well because of her low prices and kindness to customers.

Angelina is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to you she will be able to renovate her house. She wants to buy wood, paint and other materials to make some repairs at home, which will give Angelina and her family more safety and well being. This is so she can continue working hard toward her goal of having her own dealership.
