A loan of $575 helped to buy work materials (alpaca and sheep's wool).

Daniel's story

Daniel was born in Mika community and still lives in the same community (Mika community is located in Colquepata district, Paucartambo province, Cusco province, Peru) Daniel is 35 years old, married and has five children from his marriage.

Daniel is an entrepreneurial and hard-working father who makes a living by providing a transportation service, farming, fattening livestock, making handicrafts and raising animals. He has several plots of farmland where he grows potatoes, barley, corn, 'oca' (a native tuber) and other crops. One of his businesses, which he carries out in his free time, is knitting items such as sweaters, scarves, etc. He takes his merchandise to markets in different communities in Huancarani to sell.

A group of neighbors invited Daniel to join their community bank, called Intipakareq, because he is a responsible and cheerful person. On this occasion, he needs a loan to buy work materials such as alpaca and sheep's wool. He is grateful to everybody for the loan and he pledges to make his repayments on time.
