A loan of $125 helped to sow basic grains.

Alberto's story

Alberto, an enterprising farmer, is 47 years old. He is married and lives with his wife and their three children. He asks for a loan in order to buy supplies such as manure in order to sow rice and broad beans. His crops need constant tending during their development if he wants to reap quality produce. The only obstacle to his continued growth is the lack of funds. This is why he asks for a loan, as his crops are his family's livelihood. This is Alberto's first loan with field partner FUDECOSUR. He never took out a loan in a government bank but chose FUDECOSUR directly because they provide loans more easily and with much lower interest rates.
