Ysidora

A loan of $1,150 helped to buy young animals such as guinea pigs, hens and pigs.

Ysidora's story

Ysidora was born in the community of Pacpapata and now lives in Mika. (Mika and Pacapapata are in the Colquepata district, which is part of the Paucartambo province in the department of Cusco, Peru). Ysidora is 54 years old, married and has eight children with her husband.

Ysidora is an enterprising and hard-working woman who makes a living in agriculture. She fattens up cows and raises young animals. She also sells American clothes and has various plots of land where she grows potatoes, barley, corn, oca and other products. A few times a week she takes her various farming products to the cities of Cusco and Huancarani to sell.

A group of neighbours invited Ysidora to join the "Intipakareq" communal bank because she is a happy and responsible woman. On this occasion, Ysidora needs a loan to buy young animals such as guinea pigs, hens and pigs. She thanks everybody for the loan and promises to make her repayments on time.
