Baktygul's story

Baktygul is 47 years old and has three children. As a main source of income for her family, she raises livestock and grows produce. She launched this business in 1996 with a starting capital of 10,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, her farm now includes three ha [about 7.5 acres] of land for growing grains, four heads of cattle and one horse. In order to develop her business further, Baktygul applied to the microfinance institution “Bai Tushum & Partners” for a loan in the amount of 80,000 KGS intended for buying livestock for fattening. Baktygul plans to use the revenues from her loan in a further expansion of her business.
