A loan of $5,375 helped a member to rent a space for her business.

Madres Emprendedoras Group's story

Ofelia is 42 years old and is a member of the 'Madres Emprendedoras' ['Entrepreneurial Mothers'] group of borrowers. She is the mother of 3 children; being a single mother she has to work very hard to give her children what they need. Ofelia makes a living primarily from selling food. For approximately 9 years she has made a living from this business and she learned it thanks to her brother who also works in this business.

The business is located in her house; she prepares various foods there and sells her menu primarily to workers in the area who come to her business to buy food. She has also ventured into the sale of beauty products and clothing. The money from her loan will be used to rent a space in a market in her area where she can start her business. Ofelia is grateful for this loan, as it allows her to fulfill her dream, and she hopes to continue with EDAPROSPO for many years.

Ofelia appears in the photo with the black jogging suit and purple shirt.
