A loan of $1,400 helped a member boost her business by acquiring new stocks of food and agricultural products.

Aramata's Group's story

The Baribalna group - which means courage - was created during the implementation of the local "banc villageois". Members live in the same neighborhood and have developed a group spirit for several years. Their main activity is to run small businesses. Mrs. Aramata (standing at the far right) is the featured borrower. She is married and has three children. She buys agricultural products or fresh produce from the weekly markets for resale in her village. She has been conducting this activity for more than seven years. This new loan will enable her to boost her business by acquiring new stocks of food and agricultural products. With the profits she intends to contribute significantly to her family's needs.
