A loan of $1,725 helped a member to increase her stock of food products in order to boost her financing capacity and her income.

Totala's Group's story

This group was created at the same time as the Banc Villageois. It gathers women who come from the same neighborhood and also share family ties, which makes it easier for them to get along with one another and facilitates solidarity among the members. In addition to retail, these women are involved in collective gardening. Totala (standing at the far right in the photo) is the group's featured borrower. Her business revolves around market gardening and selling food products in the village. She has been involved in this activity for many years. Thanks to her loan, she will be able to increase her stock, which will consequently boost her financing capacity and income. With the profits, she is planning to improve her family's diet.
