A loan of $400 helped to buy food products like rice, sugar, and flour, among others.

Ana's story

Ana, age 60, is married and has three children who are now adults. She has her own house, which she bought with her husband’s support.

Ana sells food in her store, which is set up in her own house. It is very popular with the neighbors and the outsiders who pass through the area. She tends to all of them with kindness. She has had the store for four years, and during that time she has come to be very well known and popular. Her husband helps wait on the public her on occasion.

What she likes about her work is that it made her very well-known in the area. Most of her customers are her neighbors, and she gives them good service.

This is her third loan with Kiva. She is very grateful to the institution for the opportunity and the support given to her. She will use the requested 1,000 soles to buy general food products to stock her store. She will buy things like rice, sugar, and flour, etc. in order to get better results.
