A loan of $775 helped to purchase products such as rice, sugar, flour and other items.

Lucinda's story

Lucinda is 59-years-old. She is married and from her marriage has four beautiful children who are independent. Currently, she lives comfortably in her own home with her husband. Lucinda works in the sale of groceries, which she sells from a stall in her own home. She attends her clients in her home, the majority of who are her neighbors. She began her business 6 years ago because she needed additional income. She likes her business because it allows her to stay in her home and she can count on the reoccurring income. Apart from the free time that her business allows, she is also able to be with her family. This would be her second loan with Kiva. She feels grateful for the financial support to solidify her plans. She will use the 2000 new soles to purchase wholesale products such as sugar, rice, flour etc. She is in search of the best prices to obtain the best earnings.
