A loan of $1,000 helped to pay for piglets.

Karine's story

Karine is from Hnaberd village in the Ararat region. She lives with her husband and 18-year-old son and, jointly with them, is involved in agriculture.

They keep a cow, six chickens, cultivate corn and grow peach and apricot trees. The family milks the cow to make dairy products. Karine's husband and son take the dairy products and harvest to the market and sell it locally.

As the agricultural business helps the family to have a stable income and cover its basic costs, Karine would like to enlarge it. She has requested a loan from SEF International to purchase piglets. She plans to raise and sell them.

The loan is very important for Karine to be able to increase her agricultural income and ensure a better life for her family.
