Josphine is married with six school-going children. They live in their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
She has operated a fruit and vegetable stall business for the past three years. She sells from home to her neighbors. She dreams of establishing a mini-greengrocery in the future.
With the Kshs 10,000 she wants to purchase bales of green vegetables, onions, potatoes and tomatoes for resale. Josphine decided to join Yehu to get financial support.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
