Gad's story

Gad is married with three children, two of whom go to school. He grows sugar cane to produce "waragi" (a local brew). It is his major source of income to support the family and he has been in this business since 2007. Gad and his wife also have a retail shop at home which she operates. Gad is now requesting a loan of 500,000 Shillings to pay the labourers that work to clear the sugar cane plantation and add some capital into the retail business. His challenge is mainly the bad weather which affects the plantations.
