Mutie, 51, is a married with six children. All attend school and are still under his care. They live at their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Mutie operates a clothes business at the market and sells to town dwellers and neighbors. His major challenge is the rate of stock turnover which is affected by seasons.
With the loan he is requesting he wants to purchase one bale of clothes for resale. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
