A loan of $1,500 helped to pay for a calf and cover fuel costs for transporting the gathered harvest to the market.

Jemma's story

Jemma has been involved in agriculture for more than nine years. She lives in the Areni village of Vayots Dzor region with her husband and 17-year-old son. Jemma owns agricultural land where she grows 30 peach, three nut, two apple and five pear trees with great love and care. Jemma works hard to gather a good harvest, and her husband takes the gathered products to the market to sell.

Concerned with the critical state of the Armenian economy, Jemma does her best to perpetuate the profit which will help her to build a well-provided life for her family. To expand her current agricultural business, Jemma has applied to SEF International to purchase a calf and to cover fuel costs, which is very important for taking the gathered harvest to the market.

This loan is important for Jemma to enlarge her agricultural business and be able to ensure a better life for her family.
