A loan of $3,000 helped to purchase needed stock of basic groceries and to make improvements to the store.

Mahmoud's story

Mahmoud is a 41-year-old married man and a father to three sons and one daughter. He is a taxi driver but the low income he earns isn't enough to cover all the family's needs.

For the past two years, Mahmoud has had a grocery store selling different types of groceries. It has been a profitable project, but also needs more support to cover the costs.

Mahmoud is requesting a 3,000 USD loan from FATEN to help him cover the costs of purchasing needed stock of basic groceries that customers often request such as rice, sugar and canned food, and to make improvements in the store's condition such as installing additional shelves and painting. This will increase sales and increase Mahmoud's income.

Mahmoud had his picture taken in his grocery store.
