Yasmeen Group's story

Yasmeen is a 33-year-old woman living in Rawalpindi, Pakistan with her spouse and nine children. Since 1998, her husband has been running a small vegetable shop and usually sells his vegetables in the central bazaar. Yasmeen, as a member of a two-person borrowing group, has requested a loan from Kiva’s partner BRAC Pakistan for the expansion of her husband's shop. With the loan investment, her husband will be able to buy a variety of fresh vegetables, enabling him to offer more variety to his clients and increase his sales and income. Her husband is a very hardworking and honest man and is confident about his family’s bright future.
