Narine's story

Narine is 41 years old. She lives with her husband and two sons in Sevan city. Narine graduated from Sevan Industrial College; she is an accountant. Narine used to work in her profession for some years, but as the salary was too low, she decided to run her own business. As she said, her knowledge in the accounting sphere helped her to organize her trading business well. After seven years of hard work, Narine now has her own small shop in Sevan city and sells food and household products.

Narine buys the merchandise for her shop from wholesale markets and transports some goods from Yerevan. Her husband from time to time helps Narine in this occupation. Narine’s husband works in the Sevan branch of the Office of Ombudsman.

Narine dreams to help her sons to have a higher education and decided to accumulate some money for their tuition fees. Narine asks Kiva lenders for a 800,000 Armenian drams loan to buy a lot of meat products, candies, dairy products, sweets and household products for her shop. She hopes to receive a good profit, which will help her to accumulate some money for her children’s future.
