A loan of $400 helped to buy a laptop computer.

Rolando's story

Rolando, 33, is married and has a 5-year-old daughter. He lives in a house made from wood. Being a very hardworking young man, he took on a university degree away from home. With time he managed to come back, bringing with him an impulse to develop his town through his work.

He currently supports the municipality of his district as a public employee, thanks to his experience as a good worker. He says that the best way to grow as a person is to have one's own business, so his goal is to open a hardware store to improve his financial income and thus his quality of life. He wishes to continue working to accomplish this goal.

This is his first loan with Kiva, so he is very grateful and he is committed to paying his dues on time. With these 1,000 Peruvian soles, he will buy a laptop computer, with which he hopes to carry out his work smoothly and to continue earning a good income.
