Miriam Janet's story

Miriam is a 30 year old woman. She lives in the city of Ica in the Santiago district with her small son, whom she loves. He is her main reason for living. She is a very kind, hard-working and enthusiastic person. She puts all of her efforts into getting her little one ahead. This is because Miriam is father and mother to him.

Sadly, due to the lack of financial resources and out of need, she has had to work ever since she was very young. Miriam was not able to study for a professional nursing career, but she would have liked to have been able to do so. In her free time she prepares a delicious ceviche to share with her family.

On her own initiative, and with great determination and dedication, Miriam works in her small business of selling clothes. Also, she sells supplies during the school season. She works every day for approximately ten hours. She believes that it is going well for her because of the good prices and the kind service that she offers her customers.

Miriam is very grateful to the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help provided, she will be able to buy a greater quantity and variety of merchandise. She will buy things like jackets, tops, pants, sweaters, and others.

This way Miriam will have a better stocked business, and she will tend to more customers. This way she will continue working and putting forth effort in order to achiever her big dream of becoming a great entrepreneur.
