A loan of $525 helped to supply her business with used and new clothing.

Claudia Margarita's story

Claudia has lived in Piedras Negras since she was 26 years old. She is the mother of two children, one boy and one girl who has a disease that they attend to each month in the city of Monterrey. She, along with her husband, has tried to support her daughter all of the time to give her the best comfort so that she feels good. Claudia works in used clothing sales, a business that she just began. Previously she had the same business, but when her daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, she had to close it. She had to travel to the city of Monterrey many times and did not have time to attend to her business. She is requesting support through Kiva to be able to supply more used clothing along with new clothing to generate an income and thus give the best to her children. Claudia has been a responsible mother and wife during this time and wants to continue doing so, helping with the expenses, supporting her husband all of the time, and going on as a family that supports itself in good times and bad.
