A loan of $3,500 helped a member to buy tables to display natural medicines.

San Isidro Group's story

The communal bank "San Isidro" is in its fourth loan cycle, and each member contributes her little grain of sand so the group can continue growing and helping their families.

One of the members, Edelmira, sells tereré and medicinal herbs. Tereré is a traditional Paraguan beverage made from medicinal herbs which Paraguayans drink every day, rain or shine. She says business is going very well because she has been doing this for some time now and has a good customer base.

Edelmira is requesting a loan to buy tables to display her natural remedies. This will help with sales so she can continue offering good products to her customers.
