La Microempresaria Elisa Marcela O. originaria de la ciudad de Bluefields, tienen 53 años de edad, es madre soltera de 6 hijos mayores de edad. El único ingreso que tiene la microempresaria es la de su negocio. La Sra. O. es propietaria de un tramo en el mercado municipal de esta ciudad por más de 35 años donde ofrece una variedad de productos (plátano, banano, repollo, tomate, papa, limón, cebolla, zanahoria, lechuga, naranja, pepino, sandilla, mandarina, entre otras cosas) teniendo como clientes a las instituciones del estado (hospital, Policía y el Distrito Naval) y los transeúntes que la prefieren por ofrecer una variedad de productos. Este es el segundo crédito de la microempresaria. Cabe destacar que los productos que ella oferta no han disminuido su demanda ya que son de alto consumo para la población. En estos momentos necesita comprar: 3 quintales de papa a $ 41.00 dólares el quintal, 4 cajas de tomate a $ 22.00 dólares la caja, 3 quintales de cebolla a $20.00 dólares el quintal, 100 cabezas de repollo a $ 1.00 dólar cada cabeza, 2 cajas de chiltomas a $15.00 dólares la caja, 2 cajas de zanahoria a $ 15.00 dólares la caja, 1 caja de chayote a $ 22.00 dólares la caja y 100 unidades de banano a $ 0.47 centavos dólar la unidad, con esta inversión podrá satisfacer la demanda de sus clientes que cada día aumenta.

This organization is very small and started working with Kiva before certain core risk and due diligence policies were put into place. ADEPHCA organization would not fit under Kiva’s current partnerships criteria because they do not have any audited financial statements, they do not have established internal controls, and they currently have no other sources of funding than Kiva.
