Tula's story

Tula is 44 years old and lives with her husband, her brother in law, parents-in-law, and her 9-year old son. Tula's work consists in selling convenience store items, among which are: rice, sugar, milk, bread, eggs, oil, vegetables, and more. She has this business in her house and works every day, full-time. She complements this business with the selling of shoes for women and it is going very well for her. What she likes about her job is that she has time to complete other activities, fortunately it is going very well for her since she always has clients because of the variety of products that she offers. She is the only store in her area, and she hopes to continue getting ahead and grow her business. This is her fourth loan with Kiva, and she is very thankful for the opportunities that it will bring, and for the financial backing that she needs to get ahead. With the 2500 soles that she is asking for, she will purchase merchandise for her store such as: candy, rice, sugar, bread, eggs, milk, oil, and vegetables, among other things.
