A loan of $775 helped to buy tyres and repair her motorbike.

Flor's story

Flor, who is 38, is married with an eight-year-old son. She lives in her brother-in-law's house along with her family and her brother-in-law's family. Flor's work involves providing a transport service using her hired heavy-duty vehicle. She has done this for 2 years and never a day goes by when she does not have business, as in the area where she lives people always need a heavy-duty vehicle to unload and move the different goods (bananas, sacks of grains, fruit, animals etc.) which arrive in the city's port. Fortunately, Flor is very successful in her business and presses on without losing heart. This time, she is seeking a loan of S/ 2000 and is very happy with the financial support which she is receiving. It gives her the confidence to continue her work and, furthermore, she is committed to making her repayments promptly. She will use the sum requested to buy petrol and will buy tyres and some spare parts to repair her vehicle.
