A loan of $400 helped buy ingredients such as rice, vegetables, meat, etc.

Nelly's story

Nelly is 52 years old, is divorced, and lives with her daughter in her own house which she bought many years ago with the help of her ex-husband. Nelly's work involves selling meals such as stews and local dishes. In the mornings she makes breakfasts and in the middle of the day she sells lunches. Her shop, which she opened 10 years ago, is located in her house. During this time she has become well known in her community.

What she likes about her job is that it allows her to have income, which gives her the peace of knowing that she can give the best she has to offer to her family.

At this time, she is asking for a loan of 1,000 sols (US$400) to buy bags of rice, since it is the main product that she uses in her work. Likewise, she will over time use the money to buy condiments/sauces, tubers, vegetables, and meat. She is thankful for the financial support that she will receive that will allow her to continue with her work and promises to make her payments in a timely manner.
