A loan of $250 helped to purchase sheep to sell.

Tito's story

Tito is a married woman with four children ranging in age from one to thirteen years. She is a hard-working and ambitious woman.

She is involved in a farming business, which adds to her business income. Besides farming, she has been selling livestock, such as sheep and goats, for seven years.

Tito's business is within a busy market and her primary customers are local residents. She faces the business challenge of a lack of transport for delivering the livestock to customers and drought, which greatly affects her in feeding the livestock.

Tito plans to use the loan amount of Kes 20,000 to purchase sheep for resale.

She would like to use the profit generated from the businesses to own a butchery and repay her loan.

In the future, she is looking forward to owning a herd of cattle, which in turn she will sell to increase her business income. This is her second loan with SMEP DTM.
