Comfort is a small-scale food vendor. She fries yam and fish for sale in Assiekie, near Takoradi. She has had some form of formal education, as she is a primary school graduate. She is married and has five children. Her husband is a driver.

Comfort has been working as a food vendor for close to four years. As the sole provider in the family, the proceeds from her business normally go towards covering the entire family’s general expenses. She plans on using her loan to purchase an increased quantity of yam, fish and other ingredients; thus, allowing her to meet rising customers’ demands.
