Tresure's story

Tresure is a Business Management student at the Maharishi Institute. Tresure is 23 years old and was asked the following questions by a staff member of the Institute: What do you study at the Maharishi Institute and what classes do you enjoy most? “I study the Bachelors of Business Management and the Transcendental Meditation, as it is the Conscious-Based Education Institution, and I enjoy every course and lesson I do at the Maharishi Institute: Organization and Management, Business Fundamentals, Physiology is Consciousness, Sustainable Living and Principles of Business.” What are your goals after graduation? “After pursuing my degree, I would love to get a suitable job with a good salary, and after the resources and more knowledge about the corporate world, I would love to build up my own shopping malls in and out of South Africa.” Tell us about your background? “I was born in a small village in the Mpumalanga Nelpuis called Mahushu. I live with my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle and my two cousins, who are still in Primary level. My grandparents are both pensioners and only my mom is the breadwinner, and both my aunt and uncle are unemployed. I am single and do not have any dependents.” What do you do in your spare time? “In my own spare time I love reading, playing volleyball and modeling, as one day I would love to see myself as the top South African model.” How will the Kiva Loan change your life? “The Kiva loan will help me stabilize my college studies, which means I won’t be locked outside the school gates because of not paid school fees. And I will always be at school because Kiva will provide me with pocket money which I will use for transport. It will help make things easier for me. I won’t stress about fees anymore.”
