Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $375 helped to re-stock her store with food and household goods like soap, canned goods, snack foods, and noodles.

Corazon's story

Corazon is 49 years old and married with seven children. She works hard to provide for her family. Corazon runs a general store in the Philippines and requested a PHP 15,000 loan through NWTF to re-stock her store with food and household goods like soap, canned goods, snack foods, and noodles to sell.

Corazon has borrowed and paid eight loans from NWTF before this loan. She has been running the general store for five years and also earns an income from rice retailing.

Corazon aspires to save enough money so she can afford to send her children to college.
