Karine is a 53 year old shining lady. She lives with her son in Sevan city. Karine’s husband works abroad. He works in Russia to help meet his family's needs in Armenia.
Karine graduated from Sevan Industrial College and used to work as a nurse in Sevan’s kindergarten schools. As her salary was too low, Karine decided to run her own business and after the Soviet Union collapse, Karine engaged in clothing trading. Now Karine is a good merchandiser with extensive work experience.
Once a month she buys clothes for women and children from Yerevan wholesale markets and from Georgia and sells them in her rented stall at the Sevan clothing market. From time to time her son helps her in trading but he also works as a guard at a hospital.
Karine says that she is a very happy woman because she founded her business and is able to care for her family herself.
Karine asks from Kiva lenders a 500,000 Armenian dram loan to buy spring and summer clothes to resell in her stall.
