Nasreen's story

Ms. Nasreen is 38 years old. She is a vigorous, married woman. She has had a business of hand-embroidery for the past 22 years. Two of her daughters also assist her in making beautiful patterns. She is zealous about her work, and client demand is strong. Her embroidery patterns are very popular on her street, and she is the best earning resource in her household. She is a mother of five children, all of whom are going to school. She wants to grow her business so she requested a loan of 20,000 PKR to buy raw materials such as threads, sequins, and pearls in large quantities as well as packs of glittering material in various colors. She is in her second loan cycle with good repayment history. She shared her dream of running a training center for girls of her village. She would like to teach embroidery skills, so they can help her expand her business and to also earn money for themselves.
