Launiyada's story

Launiyada is a 30-year-old married woman with eight children living in Kasese, Uganda. For 11 years now she has been operating a retail shop, and she started the business after realizing that farming could not facilitate her in meeting the family daily expenses. Price fluctuation coupled with inadequate capital pose a challenge to her business growth while her dreams are educating children and owning a wholesale shop. Launiyada intends to use the loan to buy general merchandise such as salt and sugar to sell.
