A loan of $1,350 helped to purchase more aluminum to fix more cooking pots, cooking spoons, frying pans, etc., for his business.

Mohammed's story

Mohammed is 55 years old and lives in the New Kru Town area of Montserrado County. He is married. He was unfortunate to have attended only grade school, but he learned other trades by which he is surviving. His wife is a business woman and they have four children between the ages of 2 and 28, who are presently attending school. Two attend university while the younger ones attend grade school.

For the past 20 years, Mohammed has been running a shop where he fixes and sells items like cooking pots, cooking spoons, frying pans, etc. He makes a lot of profit since he is the only one who is involved in this business in his area. Some of the problems he facing are that he has less income and the cost of aluminum is very high. He is requesting a loan to purchase more aluminum to fix more cooking pots, cooking spoons, frying pans, etc., for his business. He plans to build a house for his children in the years to come and give them a university education.
