A loan of $775 helped to buy clothing.

Karina Verónica's story

Karina has been a member of the Loma de la Cruz communal bank for some time. She likes the unity and sense of community of this group of friends. In every meeting, she is able to get out of her daily work routine, have fun, and talk about a variety of topics of interest. She lives in the city of Cuenca, which is known as the birthplace of great poets and writers. It has been a World Heritage Site since December of 1999.

Karina, 22, lives with her partner and has a two-year-old son. Her spouse is a merchant. They do not have their own home, so they are renting.

She works as a traveling clothing saleswoman in her free time, since she also works as a private employee. These two jobs give her the opportunity to improve the financial stability of her home and provide for her family.

She invested her previous loan in the purchase of clothing, with which she earned a good income. She will also use this loan to buy clothing so that she can have a greater variety for her clientele.
