A loan of $525 helped a member to buy more grocery items for resale.

Sinoun's Group's story

Sinoun, a young 27-year-old mother of two little kids, is a local citizen from Sa Ang district of Kandal province,Cambodia. She is a grocery vendor in her local area and her husband works for others for a fee as a truck driver. She is able to earn up to 20,000 KHR per day from the current business that she has occupied for 7 years.

Having been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for three cycles, she feels empowered and sure that she can provide decent daily food for her kids and improve her lifestyle in a gradual manner. Now, she is in a group of two to apply for a new loan. As the group leader, she will use her loan portion to buy more grocery items for resale. She hopes that she can refill her grocery stock on time and make more income for her family’s sake.
